When is the store/office open ?

The store is open from 9 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The office is open for consignment from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday - Please call ahead.

How do I set up a membership ?

When you collect the items you want to sell, please give the office a call at (734) 662-9887. If you need The Treasure Mart to pick the items up, we can arrange for this. (See Pickups.) If you will be bringing the items in, we can tell you what we are taking at that time. You will not sign up as a member until you actually bring in the items or the driver picks up your items. Memberships are now $15 for a year, paid in cash or by check. See Member Policies. Please also see, What is the procedure to bring items in?

Can I pay with a credit card ?

Yes, we now accept major credit cards (except American Express) for purchases over $10, if you underestimate you ability to discover great finds and arrive short on cash. However, since you can now pay by credit card, we do not accept out of state checks.

Do you deliver/pickup?

Deliveries - We will deliver furniture purchased at The Treasure Mart  within a radius of Ann Arbor*. Please schedule this at the time of your purchase. Saturday deliveries are limited, in-town only, and sometimes not available. As of August 1, 2008 there is a increased fee of $40,  $40 plus $1 per mile one-way outside the city limits, for this service. 

Pickups - There is an increased $40 surcharge for pick-up within the City of Ann Arbor. For a reasonable radius outside the city, we will add a mileage fee for pick-up, increased to $1 per mile one-way. The driver will collect this fee at the time of pick-up in cash or a check, along with the membership fee. Also, for all items we pick-up, The Treasure Mart will take 40% of the sales prices. (If you bring items in yourself, we take 35%.

*the distance depending on factors like the value of the items and scheduling constraints.

What is the procedure to bring items in?

First of all, CALL - (734) 662-9887 -  to make sure we are currently accepting the items you plan to bring in. All items must be clean and in good condition. During busy months (spring, summer, fall) we will put your name in the book for the day you plan to come in. Please do not just drop in, we sometimes schedule as far as two weeks in advance. This is scheduled day and not an appointment time. The office is open for consignment between 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. You may sign in as early as 9 a.m. on your scheduled day.

When you arrive, don't unload your van or haul boxes into the office. Come in to the office first and sign the sheet by the door. We will tell you how long the wait will be before there will be a table available.  When you sign in, please tell us if you have furniture. Before you unload it, one of the staff will go out and tell you if we will accept the furniture item(s) you have brought with you - yes, even if you have called first. When you check items in for the first time, you will be asked to pay a $15 membership fee - good for one year - payable by check or in cash. (Note: membership fee increase for 2006.)

Plan to spend some time when you bring in household items for consignment. You will have to unpack all of your boxes and place identifying stickers (which the staff will provide for you) on each item you leave to sell. So be forewarned - especially if your partner is the member and tries to add this to your "honey-do" list.

How do I get there?

From Main Street - East onto Kingsley, left onto Detroit Street.

From Toledo - Take US 23 to the Plymouth Rd. exit and turn west onto Plymouth Rd. which turns into Broadway. After you go over the bridge you will be taking a left fork onto Detroit Street.

From Detroit - Take 96 (m 14) to SB US 23, then exit at Plymouth Rd. Turn right  onto Plymouth Rd. which turns into Broadway. After you go over the bridge you will be taking a left fork onto Detroit Street.
