You Must Call Ahead to Make an Appointment to bring in things to sell at The Treasure Mart

The office is open for consignment from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Please call before bringing items in to sell. You will not be able to check in if you aren't scheduled in advance.  And even then, you should call the day before coming in to check on what items we will be not be taking. Scheduling in the book is not a firm reservation. It's all a matter of space available in the store for display. This applies to furniture and household items.

Sign In

When you arrive, don't unload your furniture or haul boxes into the office. Come in to the office first and sign the sheet by the door. We will tell you how long the wait will be before there will be a table available. When you sign in, please tell us if you have furniture. Before you unload it, one of the staff will go out and tell you if we will accept the furniture item(s) you have brought with you - yes, even if you have called first. 

Fill out Pricing Sheet

When you check items in for the first time, you need to fill out the top of pricing sheet completely with all contact information and  your driver's license number. You will be asked to pay a $15 membership fee - good for one year - payable by check or in cash. Please do not list your items at this time.

Check your membership card for your member number. One of the office staff will make stickers for you that are printed with the current date and your member number.

 

Unpack items

You have to unpack all of the items. Do not leave them in boxes unless they are new or have small parts.

Labeling Items

Office staff will provide you with small stickers with your member # and the date. Affix these stickers to your items. Fabrics, rugs and jewelry have special instructions, see the office staff for assistance. When you are unpacked and have stickered all of your items, (please remember to sticker any furniture outside), then ask for office staff assistance before you leave. 

Listing Items

You do not need to list the items you have brought in for consignment. You may list only those items that you are concerned about pricing on, and put your suggested price. 

  Pricing Items

You may review your suggested prices with the office staff before you leave. The last word on the sale price and whether we will accept an item to sell remains the discretion of the staff. 

Ticketing Items

  The office staff will then enter the items into the computer and print tickets for all items priced over $3. These items will appear on the inventory that will be mailed to you. Miscellaneous items will not get tickets and they will not be itemized on your inventory list. The price will be marked on the sticker. Miscellaneous items are disposed of after 30 days if not sold.

 

Inventory Invoice

  Within a week of your visit, The Treasure Mart will send you a computer print-out of the items you brought in. If there is an item of value (not miscellaneous) missing from the list, please call the office at (734) 662-9887.
