Membership fees

As of January 2006, the annual membership fee for The Treasure Mart is now $15. This is paid at the time you bring in your first item(s) for consignment or to the driver if your items are being picked up. At that time you will be assigned a member number and given a membership card. Please use this number to refer to your account in correspondence. Your membership will be renewed and deducted from your payment if you still have items for sale when your annual renewal date comes up.

Inventory Invoice

  Within a week of your consignment visit, The Treasure Mart will send you a computer print-out of the items you brought in. If there is an item of value (not miscellaneous) missing from the list, please call the office at (734) 662-9887.

 

Payment

  When you bring items in to sell, you agree to take 65% of the sales price of ticketed items. When The Treasure Mart picks up your items to be sold, we will take 40% of the sale, in addition to the surcharge  for the pickup. Each month that your ticketed item does not sell it will go down in sales price by 10%. New - After 3 markdowns ( 4 months) if an item has not sold, you will receive 50% of the final 
sale. 

 

Payment Schedule

 

Checks with itemized statements are mailed on a regular schedule, once each quarter (1/3 of the alphabet each month) as follows:

 

                                                Letters A thru H   -   January, April, July, October

                                                Letters I thru R    -    February, May, August, November

                                                Letters S thru Z   -    March, June, September, December

 

Accounts are closed on the 15th of the month preceding payment.

Checking on your account

You are always welcome to check on the status of your account. Please be aware that on busy check-in days the staff may not have the time to give you an itemized review over the phone (734) 662-9887.

 

 

 

Negotiating with Customers

Members agree to leave the selling of items to The Treasure Mart staff. Negotiating sales with customers in the parking lot or driveway as you are brining in items for sale is not allowed.

Shopping in the Office

Items go on sale when they are taken onto the sales floor. Please do not shop for items while still in the office.
