Shopping at The Treasure Mart

Shopping

The Treasure Mart is a consignment store, so items are actually owned by the members and therefore prices can not be bartered. However, prices are reduced 10% each month that the items do not sell.

Hours

The Treasure Mart store is open between 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. to shop, Monday through Saturday. (The office is open from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. for consignment - please call ahead.)

Store Arrangement

The store may look disorganized, but there is some planning. See Merchandise for where to find some things. Generally, the main floor houses the most valuable furniture, china, crystal and silver, as well as the jewelry. When you enter the store, the trays to your right hold all of the items that have just come out of the office for sale. See our Photo Gallery for a virtual tour of the store.

Items on Hold

We will hold small items and tickets for furniture you plan to purchase, at the front desk while you shop. Please do not walk around the store holding onto tickets for furniture.

Payment

We now accept credit cards (except American Express) for purchases over $10, cash or personal checks - but not out of state checks. If you are a dealer, please let the sales staff know before your items are rung up at the register.

Dealers must have a copy of their current tax # to not pay tax.

Return Policy

Small appliances or electrical items that do not work when you get them home are the only items that The Treasure Mart will accept for return. These must have the original sticker and be returned within a 24-hour of purchase period of time. And if you wrote a check for the item, there is a 10 day waiting period for reimbursement.

Delivery

This service is available for furniture purchased at The Treasure Mart for delivery within a radius of Ann Arbor. Some items may be labeled "first floor only." At the time of purchase, please tell the sales staff that you would like your item(s) delivered. See Delivery fees in Frequently Asked Questions.
