Antiques and Collectibles - As a general rule, The Treasure Mart will sell antiques and collectibles below current collector price. These items can be found throughout the store with the more valuable on the main floor. All items for sale that do not sell within the first month get marked down 10% and an additional 10% for each month not sold - to the day that the item was checked in. (Nothing will ever be marked down lower than $2.) A sure way to find a bargain at The Treasure Mart is to check the ticket for the date it was checked in.

Small collectible items such as tin types, stamps and coins can be found with the cameras and binoculars next to the jewelry cases on the main floor. More valuable collectibles are in the display case at the front checkout counter.

Appliances - We DON'T sell large but we do sell  small  appliances, which  must be working to be sold at The Treasure Mart. These are the only items that are returnable. If the item you purchased does not work, return it to the store within 24 hours of purchase and your money will be refunded.  (If you paid by check, there will be a 10 day wait period.) The original sticker must still be on the item. Small appliances (toasters, phones, microwaves, answering machines) are usually found on the second floor, either in the kitchen display room in the southwest corner or on a shelf in the southeast corner.

Note:  A new policy as of July 1, 2001 these items will be disposed of if not sold in the first 30 days.

An exception to the return (and disposal) policy would be something with vintage value (determined by the office staff) such as an old clock or radio that may not work and the ticket would indicate this.
